Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 March 2026
Amory is a relationship skills education app for people exploring ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, kink, and queer relationship structures. We know that the information you share with us — including the fact that you're here at all — can be sensitive. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Amory is operated by Cassie Wilson, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (ABN in progress). This policy applies to amory.love and the Amory mobile app (coming 2026).
A note on sensitive data. Signing up for Amory or joining the waitlist may implicitly indicate your relationship structure, sexual orientation, or lifestyle. Under Australian law (Privacy Act 1988), EU law (GDPR Article 9), and similar frameworks, this is treated as sensitive information and handled with extra care.
1. What we collect and why
Waitlist and newsletter (currently active)
- Email address — collected when you sign up at amory.love. Used to send updates about Amory's development, the founding member pre-sale, and the app launch. Managed via Kit (ConvertKit, Inc.).
Amory app (when launched)
- Account information — email address and password, or Sign in with Apple. Used to identify your account and restore access across devices.
- Relationship and learning profile — relationship structure, experience level, and learning goals that you provide during onboarding. Used to personalise your lesson recommendations. You are never required to disclose more than you are comfortable with.
- Lesson progress and streaks — which lessons you have completed, your streak count, and your activity history. Used to track your progress and drive the app's learning mechanics.
- Reflection prompts — personal reflections you write within the app (jealousy journaling, boundary exercises, and similar features). Where technically feasible, these are stored on your device only and are not transmitted to our servers. If you choose to sync them, they are encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Subscription and payment status — whether you have an active subscription and through which billing path (App Store, Google Play, or Stripe web). We do not store card numbers. Stripe and the App Store handle payment processing.
- Usage data — anonymised, aggregated data on which features are used and how often. Used to improve the app. We do not log the content of your reflections or your relationship details for analytics purposes.
2. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for collecting your email address and sending you waitlist communications. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Contract performance — for processing your account, lesson progress, and subscription status in order to provide the service you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — for aggregate usage analytics that help us improve the product, where this does not override your privacy interests.
We do not process sensitive personal data (such as relationship structure or lifestyle information) without your explicit consent, given when you provide that information.
3. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the third-party services required to operate Amory:
- Kit (ConvertKit, Inc.) — email marketing and waitlist management. ConvertKit Privacy Policy.
- Supabase, Inc. — database and authentication infrastructure for the Amory app. Servers are located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — App Store and Google Play subscription management. Receives subscription status and device identifiers, not personal content.
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing for web subscriptions and the founding member pre-sale. Stripe is the processor; Amory does not store payment card data.
- Apple Inc. / Google LLC — if you subscribe via the App Store or Google Play, your payment and subscription data is subject to their respective privacy policies.
All third-party services are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy law. We do not share your data with advertisers.
4. International data transfers
Amory is based in Australia. Our third-party service providers (listed above) may process your data in the United States or other countries. Where data is transferred outside Australia or the EEA, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.
5. How long we keep your data
- Waitlist email addresses — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- App account data — retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or financial compliance purposes.
- Anonymised usage data — may be retained indefinitely as it cannot identify you.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you have the following rights:
Australia (Privacy Act 1988)
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles

- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority
California (CCPA / CPRA)
- Know what personal information is collected and how it is used

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies and tracking
amory.love does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising scripts. The Kit newsletter signup form on amory.love uses a first-party script from ConvertKit to process your sign-up. No cross-site tracking is performed.
The Amory app does not use advertising tracking. Analytics, if used, are configured to collect only what is necessary to understand how the app is being used — not to build a profile of you as an individual.
8. Children
Amory is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as Amory grows and new features are built. When we make material changes, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Amory after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
